Now Springboro residents can learn about local history from the comfort of their own car. A total of 16 historic spots are highlighted in the new Springboro Area Historical Society Driving Tour. Please keep a few ground rules in mind while touring:
- Bring a buddy who can navigate and narrate the tour.
- Be aware that many properties are private, so please stay in your car at these locations

At least 40 locations on the Underground Railroad, including Springboro, are now featured on the Ohio Historical Underground Railroad Trail.
Ohio's many Underground Railroad paths were pivotal in leading enslaved African Americans toward freedom. Stops on the Ohio trail are located in 25 Ohio counties, including walking tours in Springboro, Ripley and Oberlin, a trolley tour in Salem, and a self-guided tour of Marietta, the Multicultural Genealogical Center in Chesterhill, Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton, and more.
