Springboro History Tours

Soak in the history of Springboro and Clearcreek Township with five types of tours offered by our knowledgeable guides. Registration links are posted on this page as new tours become available.

Guided Underground Railroad Tours

Between 1815 and 1864, Springboro was considered one of Ohio’s busiest stops on the Underground Railroad. In fact, the Springboro area is recognized as a Historic Underground Railroad Site, with 27 documented safe houses, 18 in the city and nine in the township. Our 60-minute guided walking tours cover a six-block radius highlighting the many sites still standing in our historic downtown.

A variety of tours will be offered April through October. Upcoming 2025 dates:

11:30 am Saturday, May 31

11:30 am Saturday, June 14

Purchase tickets here.

Null House Tours

Built in 1798, the Null House is the oldest standing, in-place log home in Warren County and a documented Safe House on the Underground Railroad. Null House tours offer the chance to explore this historical landmark with guides who take you back in time to pioneer days and explain how the house has evolved through the years. Tours are limited to groups of 20.

A variety of Null House tours will be offered April through October. Upcoming dates:

2 pm Sunday, June 8

2 pm Sunday, September 14

2 pm Sunday, October 12

Paranormal Tours

At Springboro History, we "ain't afraid of no ghost!" In fact, our fearless tour guides and paranormal investigators offer three types of paranormal tours.

NIGHT AT THE NULL

Built in 1798, Null House is full of history and, maybe, some ghosts. Join our resident ghost hunter as we use all the tricks of the trade to investigate the oldest home in Clearcreek Township and a former safe house on the Underground Railroad. With a history like that, what could possibly happen? Come find out in an intimate grouping of eight guests from 8 pm to midnight. Must be 18 or older to attend.

SPIRITS & SPIRITS TOURS

Springboro's historic district is well known for its haunted happenings. As you tour Main Street, we'll share spooky tales from residents, business owners and our members. Then we'll adjourn to our historic museum for red wine, hot-cocoa, snacks and the opportunity to chat with our resident ghosts, guided by our own ghost hunter. Tour sizes are small and tickets sell out quickly -- so don't delay! Age minimums apply.

PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to use the same ghost hunting equipment you see on TV? Then join us for an evening in our museum, the oldest building in downtown Springboro, where our expert investigator will guide you through the experience of interacting with our very active otherworldly museum residents. We haven't been disappointed yet! Event sizes are small and tickets sell out quickly -- so don't delay. Age minimums apply.

  • The next Paranormal Investigation is 8 pm Saturday, May 31. Purchase tickets here.
