Calling all book enthusiasts! We're thrilled to present a captivating series of book readings and wine pairings that celebrate local authors and their works. This four-part series features local authors and poets, with each evening showcasing live readings that bring their stories to life.
Designed as a cozy and intimate gathering for book lovers, each evening is limited to 20 guests to create a personal and engaging experience. Don't miss this perfect blend of storytelling, wine, and community.

January: Series Kickoff
- Jessica Strawser -- is editor-at-large at Writer’s Digest and a USA Today bestselling author of seven book club novels set in Ohio, including a Book of the Month pick, a People Magazine Pick, an Amazon Editors First Reads selection and an instant USA Today bestseller. She lives with her husband and two children in Cincinnati where she was awarded an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for 2024.
- Christina Consolino - With a PhD in physiology, Christina taught college-level anatomy and physiology for nearly 20 years. She now writes contemporary fiction that features mental or physical health concerns and romance under the pen name Keely Stephens. She also is an editor of the online journal Literary Mama and has featured about 200 authors and artists on her blog. She lives in Kettering with her husband, children, and rotating cast of pets.
February: Celebrating Black History & Authors
- Valerie J Lewis Coleman -- Best-selling author and award-winning publisher, Valerie serves professional speakers and experts to magnify and monetize their message by publishing quality books. She has published over 180 authors and helped thousands of writers navigate the challenges of self-publishing. Valerie also hosts citywide book events, which have connected over 700 authors to avid readers.
- Dr. LaTonya Branham -- LaTonya is an experienced higher education professional, author, and consultant with a passion for education and helping others achieve success. The author of three books and a contributor to several others, she received a Trailblazer Excellence in Arts Advocacy Award in 2017 for her contributions in literacy. LaTonya is the CEO of LMB Success Partners and resides in Dayton with her husband.
March: Mystery March
- Meredith Doench -- Meredith is the author of the Luce Hansen sapphic thriller series and the stand-alone, Whereabouts Unknown. An avid armchair detective and amateur web sleuth who loves all things mystery, she’s also a board member of Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter and a principal lecturer of creative writing and literature at the University of Dayton.
- Megan Hart -- After deciding at age 12 that she wanted to become an author, Megan began writing short fantasy, horror, and science fiction before graduating to novel-length romances. Since 2002 she’s published nearly 100 short stories, novellas, and novels, including thrillers and horror under the name Mina Hardy. She’s lived in Ohio long enough that she can’t claim she’s “new here,” but still can’t find her way around without GPS.
April: Poetry Month
- Rikki Santer -- Ohio Poet of the Year in 2023, Rikki has been published widely and received many honors for her poems. Her six full-length collections and six chapbook sequences explore such topics as the Hopewell earthworks of Newark, the late Kahiki Supper Club of Columbus, the art of ventriloquism, and the complex world of fashion. One collection was grand prize short-listed for the Eric Hoffer Book Award and her forthcoming collection, Shepherd’s Hour, won the Paul Nemser Book Prize from Lily Poetry Review Books.
- Artie Isaac -- Artie writes poetry, essays, and other notes in Yellow Springs where he is spouse to Alisa and human to dog Margo. Raised in Ohio, Artie was trained in high school as a writer, improviser, and cheerleader. There has been little development since. Artie is a thoughtful mediator and a reckless meditator. He is the author of works such as Throw Me a Bone: Poetry for Dogs and Pandemonia: Poems in Seclusion.
