Springboro has been named an America 250 City and Springboro Area Historical society has been selected for an America 250 Grant that is helping us present a variety of programs

We're celebrating America's 250th birthday with a variety of events in 2026! -- from a new exhibit to an original play. The Historical Society also has joined with community partners to present historical films, sponsor a photo contest, and more. Details of our events are on this page. We're still adding to them, so please check back! (All local 250 events are here.)

SUGAR MAPLE TREE PLANTING IN APRIL
Sugar maples are significant to local history because early pioneers had sugar camps in both the north and south part of Clearcreek Township. On Arbor Day, we commemorated the camps by planting a sugar maple with the Springboro Tree Authority.
