The Springboro Area Historical Society runs entirely on volunteers. We hope you'll consider offering your time to keep the stories of historic Springboro alive. Opportunities include:
Docents - Help staff our museum 11 am to 3 pm on Saturdays in April and Fridays and Saturdays May through November. You can sign up for a few shifts -- or many -- whatever works for you! In-person training, written talking points and shadowing provided to get you started.
Tour Guides - Guides take small groups to local historic sites that help tell the story of the Underground Railroad. You'll prepare by taking the tour yourself and participating in a training session.
Event Assistants – We need many hands on deck when we host special events such as the Hotdog Roast or Ice Cream Social.
Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee - This community-wide event celebrates our shared history and freedom. Volunteers participate as Site Interpreters for local stops on the Underground Railroad.
You Decide - Do you have a skill that might be beneficial to our organization? Lets talk!
For information or to express your interest in volunteering, check out the flyer/guide on this page, call us at 937-748-0916, or drop us an email.
Our volunteer flyer provides complete descriptions of volunteer opportunities so that you can decide which one is right for you. See something you like? The flyer includes links that take you to sign ups for both training sessions and volunteer slots. It's a one-stop shop to launch your next volunteer adventure!
